The secondary school comprises the upper and lower secondary sections. In the
lower secondary, students are prepared for the Penilaian Menengah
Bawah (PMB), the public examination at the end of Form 3. Students in the
upper secondary are prepared for the Brunei Cambridge GCE'O' Level
examination at the end of Form 5.

Lower secondary

In this sectionthere are three forms, namely Forms 1, 2 and 3. Promotion is not automatic and a subject
average of 50% is a prerequisite for promotion from one level to the next. At
the end of the lower secondary level, students are prepared for the PMB
examination. Students have to pass the PMB examination to be promoted
to form 4. The PMB examination results will determine the streaming of
students at their upper secondary classes.

Upper secondary

As for the upper secondary section, there are only two forms, namely Forms 4 and 5. Here the
students are divided into either the arts or the science stream. At the
end of the upper secondary, students will sit for the GCE'O'
Level examination.
