CHMS offers a continuous education from kindergarten till secondary 5. The main intake of students is at the Kindergarten 1 & 2 levels for which registration normally begins in August each year.
The school accepts any student, Bruneians, local residents, and foreigners, who meet the appropriate age requirements (3 years for Kindergarten 1 and 4 years for Kindergarten 2). The school also accepts any student with appropriate age and education attainment requirements into other
levels of study on a case by case basis, subject to the availability of places.

All foreign students are required by law to have a valid student pass issued by the Ministry of Education and endorsed by the Immigration Department before they can be enrolled in the school.
